The Laramie Project to be shown at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Evansville

Matthew Shepard, a gay student of the University of Wyoming, was brutally attacked, tied to a fence, and left to die on October 7, 1998. He died from his injuries five days later. After the murder, members of the Tectonic Theater Project in New York City traveled to Laramie, Wyoming, to interview residents about how the attack had affected the town. These transcripts were transformed into The Laramie Project, the stories of real people who lived at the epicenter of one of the nation’s most heinous anti-gay hate crimes.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Evansville, 2910 Morgan Avenue, is proud to host The Laramie Project on Friday, December 1. Doors open at 7 PM. Performance begins 7:30 PM. Advance tickets can be purchased or by check for $15 to UUCE at the address above.
